The JB Carlson Corporation is looking for an outstanding Engineering professional who will play a major role in developing, deploying, and supporting its data warehouse. This is a unique opportunity and requires extensive experience in data modeling in a high data volume environment. Information Security Engineer, Senior

The JB Carlson Corporation is looking for world-class Security Engineers to help us ensure that our software and infrastructure is designed and implemented to the highest security standards. Requirements:

The JB Carlson Corporation is looking for Network Security expert to help provide security for our networks and systems. As a member of the operations team, you will be working closely with our systems and network engineers in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Help define overall network security strategies and procedures.
Design and maintain Firewall and VPN infrastructure.

Requirements:

Data Center Facilities Engineer

Positions available in Indianapolis, IN,

The JB Carlson Corporation seeks experienced facilities or industrial engineers, ME or EE with PE licensing desired. The candidate should possess at least 5 years experience with:

ME candidates: HVAC design and evaluation, building controls and automation, airflow balance and analysis, cooling tower design, load calculations, chillers, structural loading, reliability analysis, boilers, gas turbines, pumps, and associated equipment/systems.

EE candidates: Electrical distribution system design and evaluation, coordination/flash studies, static transfer switches, UPS, automatic transfer switches, bus duct design, medium and low voltage, harmonic analysis, building controls and automation, lighting systems, and associated equipment.

Both require demonstrable comprehensive knowledge of mechanical/electrical codes and industry standard requirements. The candidate must possess strong written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to prioritize workload efficiently, and a good team orientation.

Travel will be required, approximately 25-50%.

Requirements:

Five or more years experience as outline above, preferably in a data center environment.
A BS in mechanical or electrical engineering. MS and/or PE desired.

Network Engineer

Position based in Indianapolis, IN,

The JB Carlson Corporation is looking for an experienced network engineer to help maintain and expand The JB Carlson Corporation's campus network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented fast learner that combines excellent network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities:

Gathering and implementing IT/sysops/winops/security network requirements (evaluating new/upgrading network equipment).
Provisioning remote office LAN and remote connectivity.
Coordination and deployment of multi-vendor networking gear.
Documenting LAN troubleshooting/installation procedures.
Working with and developing LAN network monitoring tools.
Participate in rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent).
2-3 years of experience with IT/Campus/Local area network management (switching, VLANs, 802.1q).
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (including Layers 2, 4 - 7 content switching).
Must have good LAN troubleshooting skills (net. device and system level).
Thorough understanding of network security aspects, common problems and solutions (ACL, firewall filtering, and VPN).
Experience with network change management control tools and policies.
Experience with several Network Monitoring and other network administration tools.

Network Administrator, Production Operations

Ideal candidates will combine excellent network management, troubleshooting, and communication skills to expedite problem resolution, keeping key parties apprised of network status, and will have the flexibility to accommodate a demanding work schedule, working under pressure in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide support in the operation of The JB Carlson Corporation's growing network infrastructure.
Support The JB Carlson Corporation's internal application groups by troubleshooting service- impacting issues.
Act as an externally-facing point of contact to facilitate handling of problem reports, and maintain relations with network peers and vendors.
Act as an internally-facing point of contact to escalate technical issues, and communicate network status.

All candidates must possess all of the following:

A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work in an IT related field.
1+ years of experience with enterprise/IT level network infrastructure and/or ISP network operations center / tier 1 support.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals (including Layers 2, 4-7, content switching).
Knowledge of network routing protocols (OSPF/IS-IS/BGP).
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Oracle Financials Application Developer, Contractor

The JB Carlson Corporation is looking for an outstanding Oracle Applications Developer to fill a contract role assisting us with the ongoing evolution and support of our Oracle Financials applications. The person hired into this position must have the following experience and attributes:

BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with strong educational background, MBA a plus.
8+ years of Oracle applications development experience with at least 5 years as Oracle Financials Applications Developer.
Deep design and development expertise in Oracle Financials with successful track record implementing solution across the range of Oracle Financials modules (GL, AR, AP, PO, FA, CM) in a dynamic global environment. Must have solid knowledge and experience with the purchasing, payables, and fixed assets modules and their integration with other core internal/external financial systems.
Extensive experience with all aspects of Oracle Applications 11i and Oracle Database 8i or 9i product versions in large scale UNIX environment.
Must be very knowledgeable and experienced in underlying Oracle financial applications database architecture as well as Oracle database and development tools including PL/SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports, Discoverer and UNIX shell scripting.
Solid understanding of Oracle workflow is desired.
Strong interpersonal, communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to work closely with users, cross-functional teams, external vendors and financial institutions.
Past experience developing Oracle financial applications in a large-scale, mission-critical, global environment with high availability.
